Stopping Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation Presentation
The Nicola Valley Community Justice Services Society is presenting a FREE presentation on “Stopping Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation”
It will be presented at NVIT – 4155 Belshaw on February 24 – doors open at 6:30.
The presenter is well known through Canada for her work in Human Trafficking.
“Cathy Peters who is an author, advocate and former inner city high school teacher who raises awareness about child sex trafficking in Canada and how to stop it. She received 18 challenge coins (to recognize her advocacy work) from police agencies, presented to 4 Federal Committees, presented to Indigenous MMIWG gatherings, has a booth at the UBCM trade shows to meet civic leaders and MLA’s, presented at 2 Global Summits and to the first national RCMP webinar on Human trafficking, made over 900 presentations to over 23,000 people not including online presence, received Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for her advocacy work in 2022”
