Support Services

NVIT Student Support Services offer a wide range of services to help you meet your educational, career and personal goals. Our goal is to help learners succeed. The following are support services we have in place to help you succeed. 

Academic Planners:


- will help you to decide which program or courses you need to reach your career goal
- are available to provide information on program requirements and clarify policies and procedures
- can determine if an assessment is necessary and facilitate the assessment if needed
- can determine course transferability from other colleges and universities

Student Success Centre:

- offers individual and group workshops to help students acquire effective learning and study skills
- is staffed with qualified instructors and tutors who offer free, one-on-one and small group assistance in a full range of subject areas

Elder’s Council:

- provide counseling and support to students
- provide a food bank service for students
- provide a clothing bank service for students
- offer spiritual counseling

Student Employment Services:
- help with job search strategies
- offer resume writing and cover letter workshops
- provide guidance in interview preparation
