Online Learning at NVIT

NVIT is proud to deliver online courses to learners in all areas of the province. Online learning allows the student to complete courses without having to attend regularly scheduled classes. However, most classes have scheduled start and end dates meaning students must work through the assignments according to the course syllabi (provided by the instructor). Learners will interact with the instructor and other students through the internet so each student must have access to a computer and reliable internet access.

Some of the advantages of online learning through NVIT are:

No campus attendance, no commuting;
Year-round enrolment and affordable tuition;
Graduate with a public post-secondary accredited certificate or diploma;
Access to BCcampus Helpdesk, course finder, transfer information and other resources.

Application and Registration Information

Check to see if NVIT is offering a course of interest to you (see link below).

If you are new to NVIT you will need to submit an application. You can apply through the Post-Secondary Application Service of BC (PASBC) or by filling in an application form and mailing it to us.

April through August for courses starting in Fall (September);
October through December for courses starting in Spring (January);
February through April for courses starting in Summer (May).

and we will help you get registered.

Fees

NVIT does not have an application fee. Tuition fees will be due the first day of the semester. If you are sponsored please forward your sponsorship information to NVIT prior to the start of classes.
