BC's Indigenous Public Post-Secondary Institute

Following a ten-year hiatus from academic studies, Alan chose to return to school just two weeks before classes started. As classes started, Alan found himself quite nervous, however, after studying for a year, he can confidently say that returning to studies was the best decision he has made.

Alan feels "it may be a small campus but the benefit of that is you can walk the halls and know everyone you are walking by. When you need help, you don't have to look very far as everyone is ready and willing to help with whatever issue you have."

Now that Alan has finished studies in the College Readiness program, he has chosen to enroll in the Aboriginal Early Childhood Education Program for the upcoming school year. His wish is to educate future leaders in a safe and nurturing environment, lndigenize world views and foster a strong, independent voice in children.
