Job Description:
NVIT anticipates a requirement for Term Instructors to teach the following courses in conjunction with Lax Kw'alaams First Nations delivered in-person. NVIT invites applications from qualified individuals.
February – November 2025
- STSC 101 – Strategies for Success
- ENGL 101 – Foundations for Academic Writing
- ENGL 110 – English Composition
PSYC 111 – Introduction to Psychology I
- PSYC 121 – Introduction to Psychology II
- SOCI 111 – Introduction to Sociology I
- FNST 100 – Introduction to First Nations Studies I
- FNST 101 – Introduction to First Nations Studies II
- CMSC 109 – Computer Applications
- FNWS 100 – Introduction to First Nations Women Studies I

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related field or have equivalent training and experience;
- Post-secondary teaching experience with Aboriginal adult learners is preferred;
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently;
- Knowledge of Indigenous history and cultures.
