Job Description:
NVIT anticipates the need for Term Instructors to teach within the Indigenous Instructor Diploma Program. This program delivery is in conjunction with the Gitksan Wet’suwet’en Education Society in Hazelton BC. This program will be delivered face-to-face starting November / December 2024. Please indicate which courses you are interested to teach.

- EDUC 410 – Language and Cultural Identity in Indigenous Adult Education
- EDUC 420 – Indigenous Adult Learning Epistemologies
- EDUC 430 – Indigenous Place Based Education
- EDUC 440 – Transformative Adult Learning
- EDUC 450 – Instructional Strategies
- EDUC 460 – Storytelling for the Translation of Knowledge
- EDUC 470 – Interactive eLearning
- EDUC 480 – Curriculum Development
- EDUC 500 – Capstone Project

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Possess a Master’s Degree in a related field or have equivalent training and experience;
- Post-secondary teaching experience preferably with Indigenous adult learners;
- Extensive computer systems experience with a high level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
- Ability to work and problem-solve independently;
- A knowledge of Indigenous cultures.
