Job Description:

The Community Education Department of NVIT believes in community-based education and training.  NVIT anticipates a requirement for Term Instructors to deliver University Transfer courses in Bella Coola. Courses will be hybrid or face-to-face and will commence September 2024 to August 2025.

  • FNWS 208 – Women’s Activism
  • SOCI 262 – Culture and Identity
  • ENGL 222 – Survey of Indigenous Literature From Canada
  • SOCW 200a – Intro to Social Work Practice
  • SOCW 200b – Intro to Social Welfare in Canada

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Possess Master’s in a related field for University Transfer courses;

  • Post-secondary teaching experience preferably with Indigenous adult learners;

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently;

  • A knowledge of Indigenous cultures.
