Job Description:

NVIT anticipates the need for term instructors to teach within the Administrative Studies Diploma Program through a hybrid delivery at the Merritt campus through and invites applications from qualified candidates. This will be a term position commencing January 2025.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Possess a Master's Degree in a related field or have equivalent training and experience;

  • Post-secondary teaching experience preferably with Indigenous adult learners;

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;

  • Ability to work and problem-solve independently;

  • Understanding of Canada’s colonial history and the devastating impacts on Indigenous peoples and Indigenous ways of being and knowing; and

  • Knowledge of and appreciation for Indigenous languages and cultures, and Indigenous lived experiences.
