About the awardThe AIBC Architectural Awards recognizes excellence in architecture. The jury acknowledged the NVIT campus design as being masterfully done and expressing a coherent sense of collective concerns. Also noted was how the design operates in the intelligent and critical manner expected from the contemporary practice of architecture. Regarding the literal reference to the authority of historic aboriginal forms and structures, the jury added that there is a lightness of touch that genuinely contributes to the richness in the design.
