Course Details
This course will continue to build on the Nadut'en skills in NADU 250. Students will advance their understanding of and speaking of Nadut'en through increased language proficiency in more advanced and sophisticated conversation. Students will enhance their knowledge of oral tradition.

    Procedure:
    Attendance/Participation 15%, Assignments 55%, Final 30%. Total 100%. Grading procedures follow NVIT policy.
    Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course students should be able to:

  • speak and respond in a wide variety of conversational situations;
  • demonstrate Nadut’en conversation using more advanced sentence structures that demonstrate enhanced Nadut’en vocabulary in classroom, family and community situations;
  • demonstrate lexically complex Nadut’en grammatical structures;
  • explain orally in Nadut’en the relationships between Nadut’en knowledge and the territory (eg. plants);
  • demonstrate an understanding of the connections between Nadut’en and the culture associated with the way of life of the Nadut’en; and
  • demonstrate and understanding and proper use of Nadut’en rules.
