C.3.5 Certificate, Diploma Requirements

  POLICY

    a) Exemption may be granted for courses required for a diploma or certificate with the permission of the Department Head or the relevant Dean (as appropriate). Total credits for the credential must be achieved. This can be accomplished with non-required courses, transfer courses, transfer credit, PLA or any other Education Council approved credit curriculum.

    b) Administrative/Academic/Indigenous Studies course that have a final exam must give that exam a weighting of at least 30% of the final grade.

    c) All post secondary certificates & diplomas must consist of courses at the post secondary level.

June 18, 1997

     d) A student who wishes to be awarded more than one credential must complete additional courses equal to at least 50% of the total number of credits required for completion of each additional credential.
